Chembio HIV 1/2 STAT-PAK® is a reliable point-of-care test for the detection of antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2 in fingerstick whole blood, venous whole blood, serum or plasma. The test requires only 5 µl of sample and has a built-in control line for secure interpretation.

Performance: Sensitivity 100% and specificity 99.9%, with validated performance on seroconversion and low-titer panels. The result is read after 15 minutes via a simple 3-step procedure.

Operation and storage: 24‑month shelf life from production and storage at 8–30 °C (do not freeze). Suitable for clinics, laboratories, NGO operations and other professional settings. Not approved for screening of blood or tissue donors.

CE-marked rapid test for HIV-1 and HIV-2 – reliable results in just 15 minutes

Chembio HIV 1/2 STAT-PAK® is a rapid immunochromatographic test for the detection of antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2 in fingerstick whole blood, venous whole blood, serum or plasma. The test is designed for point-of-care diagnostics and is used in clinical settings as part of multi-step algorithms for HIV diagnosis.

Function and method

STAT-PAK® is based on lateral flow technology with an integrated control line. Apply a sample of just 5 µl to the sample pad, add three drops of buffer and read after 15 minutes. The control line confirms correct test performance.
