Sådan fungerer en HIV test – Hvad du bør vide om HIV 1/2 STAT-PAK - Nordic Tests ApS

How an HIV test works – What you should know about HIV 1/2 STAT-PAK

An HIV test is an important tool in the prevention and control of HIV transmission. With the HIV 1/2 STAT-PAK® ASSAY, you can quickly and accurately screen for antibodies to HIV-1 and HIV-2 in a blood sample. The test is designed for use with a finger-prick or venous blood sample and provides results in just 15 minutes.

How does the HIV 1/2 STAT-PAK® ASSAY work?

The test is based on an immunochromatographic method that identifies antibodies in the blood. When the blood sample and buffer are applied, any antibodies will bind to colored particles and form a visible line if the test result is positive. The test also has a built-in control that shows whether the test has been performed correctly.

Who should take an HIV test?

HIV testing is recommended for anyone who has had unprotected sex, shared needles, or may otherwise have been exposed to infection. Early testing and treatment can prevent transmission and improve quality of life.
